Local brand mobile phone manufacturers are still only carrying the qwerty phone like a Blackberry. But this time the brand DGTel choose not to use the trackpad or trackball.

DGtel offers a qwerty phone with a solid display. This DG10 series phones, equipped with big speakers to support multimedia applications. The design of this phone different from the general mobile phone qwerty, particularly body shape rear. There is a kind of bandage-sized almost half of the length of the phone, which made it stand out from the other.

Popularity Android could make Philips smitten create a media player device based on Google’s OS besutan. Connect GoGear, thus its name, simply stunning with a variety of multimedia capabilities possessed.

Introduced in electronics and technology exhibition Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) in 2010, in Berlin, Germany, show off Android device this shows his ability to play music and movies, take photos, and surfing in cyberspace.

Connect GoGear will be shipped with preloaded applications, including the Android Market, Google Talk and Google Maps. This device was originally run with Android 2.1 or known by the name of eclairs and will be upgraded to 2.2 or Froyo Android in early 2011.

Philips says Product Manager, Connect GoGear includes a built-in 16GB of storage that can be added up to 32GB with a MicroSD card. It also has no WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a 2-megapixel camera to capture pictures and record videos at VGA resolution. Read the rest of this entry »
