Motorola Mobility has reportedly hired a number of experienced engineers from Apple and Adobe to develop a Web-based mobile operating system as an alternative to Google’s Android platform.
During the past nine months, Motorola is trying to create a mobile operating system new. The team for the project was allegedly involved several former executives of Apple and Adobe. Including VP of software engineering at Motorola Mobility, Gilles Drieu, which is actually a former high-ranking Apple for rich media and applications group.
When reached for comment, the Motorola does not deny the existence of the project. However, they could still affirm the commitment to Android.
Analyst for Deutsche Bank’s Jonathan Goldberg says, fair-minded if Motorola to develop their own operating system. Motorola realized that they need to differentiate and they need the option, as the anticipation. No one wants to rely on one supplier
